Course Pre-requisites:
This is an advanced course. In order to take this training you must have either taken our 5 day Solar PV Design and Installation Workshop, be an electrician, an engineer, or have special admittance permission from the instructor.
Synopsis:
This course will provide system designers, installers, technicians, electricians, and engineers with a better understanding of how Hybrid systems, (Grid-tie with Battery Backup), work.
Outline:
We will be covering the following topics:
- Retrofitting an Existing Grid-tie System
- DC Coupled Grid-tie with Battery Backup
- AC Coupled Grid-tie with Battery BAckup
Students will learn the advantages and disadvantages of all three types of Hybrid systems. Proper design and sizing along with component selection will also be covered.
